Thank you for your interest in WALA's 2018 Legislative Day, open exclusively to WALA members. This exciting and informative day provides an opportunity to discuss concerns and to advocate for assisted living with your state senator and representative. WALA help lay the ground work for your discussions by having guest speakers on where policies are sitting currently at the state level.

8:30 - 9:00 am: Registration

9:00 - 11:30 am:

• Tips on Successful Meetings with Legislators
• Current Legislative Issues Education
• Legislator & DHS Speakers on Current Issues

11:30 - 12:30 pm: Lunch

12:30 - 4:30 pm: Meet with Legislators

After a provided lunch, participants will walk to the Capitol in groups to speak with their legislators and to discuss your community's stories and issues. All of your legislator meetings will be scheduled on your behalf.

There is no cost to attend the 2018 Legislative Day, but you must register with WALA by April 23, 2018 so that meetings can be schedule with your legislators.
