The Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Complete DVD Training and Certificate Program is designed to provide caregivers with a comprehensive understanding of Alzheimer's and dementia care in a classroom-like setting through the use of three (3) participant manuals, an instructor's guide, a video instructor's guide, the set of five Alzheimer's DVDs, three (3) exams and three (3) 12.50 CEU certificates upon successful completion, with an 85% or better, on the final, open-book exam.
The participant manual educates caregivers on the causes of dementias, teaches them how to communicate with residents who have Alzheimer’s, provides ideas for managing challenging behaviors, instructs them on supporting family members and includes suggestions for taking care of them while dealing with the challenges that accompany caring for residents with dementia.
By incorporating the video instructor's guide with the five Alzheimer’s DVDs, caregivers receive additional instruction and gain a more thorough understanding of Alzheimer’s through interviews with caregivers and seniors which provide an understanding of the changes resulting from Alzheimer’s disease.
